Overview: Xerox has an extensive customer base in federal, state, and local governments. The primary goal of this business venture was to leverage these existing customer relationships to provide digital online services to government agencies. This covered services such as making payments online, applying for permits, with a long term goal of making all government services accessible through the web. Xerox eventually acquired ACS (Affiliated Computer Services), the world’s largest diversified business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, which also specialized in government services like Citizen Service Center.

Outcome: Successfully launched Rochester, NY site.
